Erique Swart
Art Director, Props Master, Set Dresser, Stills, Consultant, Stylist, Wardrobe / Make-up
In early 2006, DIRT Designs was created out of necessity due to me taking on advertising, design and event projects whilst collaborating with a stable of film clientele I had serviced on a freelance basis up until this point. In my 15 years experience in the film industry, I have collaborated with the cream of the crop in local and international crew, actors, production companies, advertising agencies & magazines. On some of the features and dramas I have collaborated on, I have had to organize, negotiate sponsorship & product placement deals to help with the limits on their budgets. Within these years, I have also helped and facilitated advertising agencies and events companies who required my services in organizing of their decor, staging / sets, props and wardrobe for some of their launches, promos / activation, exhibitions or just to assist with setting things up and running the project . As a natural progression I then started to facilitate my clients and their events by taking on the whole event from concept to execution and not just the decorative aspect. I now run a fully-fledged events side and will service your needs whatever it might be i.e. corporate gifting, events, etc. On several occasions, I have facilitated restaurants, hair salons and members of the public with creating a new look and feel for their business and homes, with shop fitting / renovations, etc. I have recently also launched a service offering to the property development and estate agent market to assist them in selling or renting the units within their portfolio. The service offering includes a consultation and facilitation in decor and outlay to help achieve a favourable environment to successfully list a property and to attract the right market. Depending on the budget I could either help create the right space by using existing furniture and decor elements or bring a few new elements, hired, sponsored or purchased. For a complete company profile in terms of clients, brands & crew collaborated with in the past please use the link provided on top to DIRT Designs web site where you will find a tab Clients, Brand & Crew Collaborated with in the past, which will lead you to a PDF which is downloadable. "My aim is to add value and / or compliment your existing level of service."

Tumisang Motang
Camera Operator, Content Director-Producer, Cameraman, Director, Director‘s Assistant
It has been Tumi Motangs dream to be a director/filmmaker for as long as he can remember. He was unable to go to film school because of financial constraints but Tumi did not let that dampen his spirit. Instead, since 1998 he found work that taught him all stages of the film and television production process. This continued for the next two years and in his spare time Tumi freelanced as camera assistant for companies like the Picture House and worked as assistant director for Tank Films on music videos like Zola, Mandoza and the Mapaputsi video which won the SAMA awards. In 2004, Tumi directed his first music video for a kwaito group called Zulumobb. With almost no budget the video made it to SABC1s music programs top ten list. He then left Isidingo to pursue his dream and joined Take5 as its production assistant/trainee director on inserts. In between production he was also able to work on Scandal and Backstage. SABC2 Special Projects then gave Tumi a two-month contract as a production assistant on The community builder of the year project which allowed him to travel all over South Africa. He was then finally able to produce his first documentary on Lucky Dube for an SABC1 48 minute series on music icons in South Africa. Since then he also had a contract with Endemol on their TV series Shados. Tumi also entered the Vuka awards as newcomer director/producer that was shot on HD. The concept was in support of the drug free society that explored the consequence of drugs. The Vuka was endorsed by SANCA. In 2006 Ochre Media gave Tumi a six week contract on a drama series as directors assistant, they gave him a trainee director position, and he had the opportunity to direct couple of scenes on multi camera production. Tumi learnt how to tell a story both performance and technically. He never looked back; in 2007 he worked as a camera man on Forgive and Forget and ended up doing all the seasons until 2009. Big brother Africa gave him an opportunity to work as a technical director on the show. Tumi did not stop there, he started making a name for himself overseas working for ‘Bounceback ‘ (LA based company) by profiling the US artists touring South Africa. To name a few he worked with John Legend, Kerri Hilson, Bow Wow, R Kelly, Dj Babu (LA) Dj Southern bred (Atlanta, Souljahboy‘s dj) and US rapper Canibus. Tumi also produced, directed and shot inserts for Vuzu V Entertainment show. He just came back from Asia where he worked on Survivor Maldives as one of the content directors. He has made many sacrifices to gain this experience; many of them have meant little if no payment. He is now in search of opportunities where his work and time is valued both financially and in terms of its content and quality. He sees himself as a young director that needs platform and guidance so as to become one of South Africas most sought after filmmakers. Tumi is mult-talented. His passion is for directing. He is also a talented cameraman who has knowledge of the Sony Z1-Z7
