JO KATSARAS returns after successful working tour in EUROPE |

| Sunday, 10 October 2010 | | Jo is renowned for her use of colour and texture in the costumes she designs. Her inherent understanding of the film medium led to a meteoric rise through the ranks and within eighteen months of entering the film industry, Jo tackled her first production as a head of department.
"To work on films was to enter a world of fantasy," says Katsaras. "You are given the opportunity to create fabulous costumes for unique characters. I love the idea that one can distil an entire character into their wardrobe and the results are preserved forever on celluloid."
Since designing her first feature, the South African blockbuster, "Theres a Zulu on My Stoep," Jo went on to design for a number of major commercials as well as television series and feature films. Her feature credits include Jean Jacques Annauds "Running Wild" for Sony Pictures, Village Roadshows "Tarzan and the Lost City" starring Casper van Dien and Jane March, the 2001 South African box office hit "Mr Bones" starring Leon Schuster, David Ramsey and Faizon Love, the Disney IMAX feature "The Young Black Stallion" starring Biana Tamimi and Richard Romanus, John Boormans "Country of My Skull" starring Samuel L. Jackson and Juliette Binoche , "Racing Stripes" starring Bruce Greenwood and Hayden Pannieterre. In 2007 she worked with award winner director, Anthony Minghella on the HBO and BBC pilot of "The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency" starring Jill Scott, Anika Noni-Rose, Colin Salmon, David Oyelowa and Idris Alba . In 2008 she continued what she had created on the pilot show and designed 6 more episodes |

| Thursday, 30 September 2010 | | Word of Mouth Productions, the official casting company for Disneys The Lion King world wide, will be holding open auditions for principal characters for the Lion King company. These auditions will be held in October 2010 in Johannesburg & Durban.
Casting Call:
Is for any singers between the ages of 18-35, male & female. We will also be casting for Cabaret singers for a cruise ship.
Priority will be given to talent from agencies, however everyone is welcome & encouraged to attend. Anyone who is shortlisted during the auditions will be seen during the call backs. Finalists are urged to apply for passports if they dont already have one.

Hollywood studios jitters
Mon, 12 Apr 2010 Sharon Waxman of The Wrap reports that in the last few months, three major Hollywood studios have cancelled projects, a sure sign of these recessionary times.
Universal has canned Cartel which was just about to shoot in Mexico, reportedly over concerns that the film wouldnt make its modest $42.5m budget. The studio has apparently been given strict instructions not to overspend.
Sony has decided not to go ahead with the big budget fourth installment of Spider-Man. Disney has cancelled the sequel to the John Travolta/Tim Allen/Martin Lawrence hit, Wild Hogs. |
